I have just purchased a new iMac with Sierra 10.12.6 installed and am very frustrated with the vertical scroll bar not being visible permanently as it is in OS10.9. The only way I can get a scroll bar visible is to expand the page and sometimes a bar will appear and sometime not, is there any method I can use to have a scroll bar visible at all times or is this another unwelcome feature of Sierra?

Any info would be appreciated.

It's a simple fix:

 > System Preferences... > General > Show scroll bars > click Always radio button
