Where do they go. How to isolate them and to read, rename and save them.
Command 3 took the shot easily and I found them eventually, but the rest was not happening.
The shot was of a legal size document ~8.5x14 and this is on a 13” MacBook Air running El Capitan With available updates.
please help.

Go to Launchpad > Other > Screenshot click Options, you will then be able to chose where to save your screenshots to.
To rename a screenshot, right click the file, choose rename, click on the name to highlight it and the type in your new filename.
Shift + Command + 3 will take a shot of the entire screen
Shift + Command + 4 will change the cursor to a crosshair where you can select the portion of the screen that you require.

Launchpad>Other=no “screenshot”. And I opened anything that may have been a pseudonym.

I just downloaded Mojave. As much as I dislike working dos command prompts, I know nothing about Mac command prompts.
I’ll consider this solved while I have Mojave to play with. Thanks
