Screen Resolution in OS X

Hi there !

I'd like to buy new LCD for my Power Mac G3 B&W and I'm wondering how can I setup different resolution than original Apple resolutions.
Is there any application or should I modify some system files ?

Exactly, it should be 1680 x 1050 px for VIEWSONIC VX2025wm.

Depending on the version of the Mac OS, and the auto-sensing built into the Viewsonic, that resolution should be available as soon as you connect it without any installation or intervention on your part.

The current 20" Apple Cinema has that exact same native resolution.
