Ringing computer

When I open a site on the internet my computer starts a steady ringing sound and the page keeps skipping to the bottom
and then keeps jiggling up and down.
I don't know what I may have done to cause this but since I am 81 maybe I forgot. HELP please.

-Which Internet browser are you using - Safari, Firefox, Chrome, etc.?

It sounds like you may have a startup page in the browser that we need to clear out.

I sent a rely and this site said I had a new message but when I tried to open it I got a page full of numbers and letters and gibberish. I'll try again.

I am using Mac desktop osx 10.7.5 & Chrome.
The buzzing happened again but this time I wasn't on the internet I was using a card game. It stopped on it's own after a couple of seconds.
