I need some help with putting my Enter key back on my Mac's keyboard. There's a piece that looks like rubber which feels like what would be used to press the keys. The key's cap itself has two white plastic pieces and a metal rod that looks like a large staple. Theres also a semicircle shape above a metal circle in the keyboard itself, which when I press down, it presses the enter key.

Hello and welcome.

It can be a bit tricky to reattach key caps, especially those with the metal scissor mechanism. From your photo, it actually looks like part of the rubber nub is missing, which may prevent the key cap from working properly and/or staying in place.

It looks like an Apple external keyboard, correct? If so, and you cannot get the key cap back in place, you may need to simply replace the entire keyboard, since Apple doesn't service them for that issue.

This guide may help a bit: PowerBookMedic - Keycap Replacement Guide
