Record Guitar on 2014 15" MacBook pro

My MacBook Pro only has a headphone socket (and cannot be switched to line in like some models) and I want to record guitar into GarageBand without using a microphone. Has anyone had any luck with usb interfaces such as the Behringer one or is anyone got experience of other good alternatives which connect via usb?
