I have a Mac mini mid 2010 2.4 intel model no A1347
Currently has 2 1gb ram ddr3
Someone is selling these and I want to know if they will work in my Mac. They are from a late 2011 model

Hello and welcome.

Your Mid 2010 Mac mini takes 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM. The Mid 2011 models take 204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM. Normally, RAM is backwards-compatible with the previous version, but this RAM isn't officially compatible.

It should work, albeit at the slower clock speed of 1066 MHz, but I personally would look for the correct type.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the reply. It was close to me and at a decent price so I thought it could be a quick fix. Thanks for the advice.
