QuickTime problem

I'm posting this for my husband. When he runs QuickTime, the movie stops and stutters and doesn't run smoothly. I told him this was the place to ask for help. Thanks in advance.

Processor 1GHz PowerPC G4
1 MB L3 cache
Memory 1GB SDRAM

Hi there Mr SW...

are these Internet movies (in web pages) or DVD's ?

If they are Internet ones...check what speed is set...

System Preferences-->QuickTime-->Streaming Tab

Select the closest speed to your connection and don't use automatic.

He tried it but it didn't help. It has worked fine for three years up until now. Any suggestions are appreciated.
