Try a couple of things... Open Disk Utility and repair permissions. Also, before trying to run QuickTime again, run a software update (Apple menu > Software Update) to see if you have the most current version of QuickTime. If that does not work, then go to your user Library > Preferences > and look for the file named com.apple.quicktimeplayer.plist. Just move it to the desktop; do not trash it. Then try to start QuickTime. If it works, then you can safely trash that plist file from the desktop.

Egidio,

Thank you kindly for the response. I should have mentioned in my post that I already tried the software update and repairing permissions. I have a bunch of other applications that also crash on launch (Photoshop CS4, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro, HandBrake, Firefox fullscreen, even iChat, and more). I notice that I keep receiving this message in the crash reports, but I have no idea what it means or what the solution is:

Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGLSystem.dylib
Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Resources/GLDriver.bundle/GLDriver
Reason: no suitable image found.

If you have any idea please let me know!

Thank you,

Kevin
