PLEASE help! I cannot exit out of quicktime

I am having a bad problem. I was recording something with quicktime and used the "Line-In" option. I finished recording and now it is stuck finishing. PLEASE help!!!! This is not my computer, it is my dad's. I am not able to log out or do anything. It won't let me force quit. Please help me

It won't let me force quit.

Have you tried Ctrl Command Esc then choosing QuickTime and then "Force Quit"

Click on the desktop, the area behind the Quicktime Window, this should bring Finder forward and allow you to access Force Quit from the Apple Menu.

If this does not work, then you have crashed it hard and will need to hold the Power Button down for the count of 10 seconds.
