Question about PS Elements ?

I have a question about my new PS Elemente 18 program that has replaced my PSE8 program. When I click the PSE icon on the dock the program window opens, but I am still in the Finder ? It takes an extra click on the PSE window to open PSE ? Also, I cannot open a photo by simply dragging it to the PSE icon on the dock like I could with my older PSE 8. I have to open the photo by selecting "open" in the PSE “File” dropdown menu or hitting command O ? Is this normal or can I “fix these differences ?

I don't have or use Photoshop Elements, so it's difficult for me to troubleshoot. Your best bet may be to check in the Adobe Forums, and/or call their tech support.
