privileges....

hi all, sorry if there is already a thread about this, im in rush for help.

basically i am trying to save a .dat file to a flexlm folder on my imac. text edit wont let me do this, it says i dont have access privileges so i cant do it. never had any problem with this on my powerbook g4, so why now?

can anyone help me change it?

i am running 10.5 on an imac.

Try clicking once on this file then clicking Command-I on your keyboard. When the Info window pops up, look at the bottom where it says Ownership & Permissions and Details and make sure that your name appears next to "Owner:" and that Read & Write appear next to "You Can" and "Access:".
