Could not open because you do not have Sufficient access privileges

When I try to open a folder created on our Server from our new Imac (running snow leopard) I can not open it on my G5 from our server I get this message (The folder Could not open because you do not have Sufficient access privileges) All our other Mac's can open the files created form the New Imac I can not???? All folders show up on my mac (G5) with a red circle with a white line thru it. when I get info on the sever from my mac it says you can read and write
