Hello again,

-I assume this is the same PB that we discussed in your other thread?
-Did you apply all software updates?
-What brand/model is the Wi-Fi router?
-Which type of security is enabled - WEP, WPA, etc.?

And...does the name of the network in Spanish mean wooden horse? ;)

Hi there Cooper.
-Yes its the same.
-I think i did that, because i can connect direct cable but no wifi.
-Its an Arris 1660A
-Its WPA2.

Hahahaha and yes thats the meaning.

Btw i posted this thread in another forum and also reading in the web and its says that the "Airport" my network card cant support WPA2. And i dont know if i can upgrade my card or if i can buy a "Pendrive WIFI that can support WPA2".

I dont know, thanks.

OK, thanks for the additional.

I remember there being an issue with 10.4.x not connecting via WPA reliably, but WEP working normally. WPA support was introduced in one of the 10.4.x Tiger updates. I believe if you can get it upgraded to 10.5.x Leopard it will support WPA easier.

Also, you could try downloading and installing the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PPC) over the top of your current install, in case part of the networking software didn't get updated properly or is corrupted somehow.

You can't upgrade the Apple AirPort card, as there was only one that was compatible. USB Wi-Fi devices are sometimes a bit flakey, especially those that are old enough to still support the PowerBook G4 and PPC.
