Possible Scam??

Just got an email msg from "Apple Support (e-mail address removed)" saying I had purchased some games but if I hadn't I should go to their link and cancel the purchase.

Sounds like Phishing to me. Am I being paranoid?

Yes, that's SPAM/phishing. You can safely ignore it.

If you ever doubt something like that, just check your account within iTunes and verify your purchases.

Yeah, Cory is right on the money with that advice! Recently I received a couple of calls from "Apple Support", supposedly to fix issues with my Macs. Of course I just ignored them.
