i have an 8 GB USB in my computer and i was just moving music and videos onto it but the process is VERY tedious since it takes FOREVER for it to copy onto my USB and then delete all the files from downloads. can anyone please tell me if its possible to stop my mac from copying them and just MOVE them?

Hello and welcome.

The time for copying and moving will actually be the same, as it has to do with the write speed for both.

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X?
-I would assume that you are using a USB 2.0 flash drive? Brand/model?
