My girlfriend recently bought a MacBook, and the company she works for provided her with Photoshop CS1 and CS2. A few days after they installed Photoshop and the rest of the Adobe Programs, we accidentally deleted CS1. Since she did not need CS1 it was no big deal anyways. Now, a couple weeks later when she needed to access PhotoShop CS2, she is getting an error message when she tries to open it. It will not start like it normally should. We do not have the original CDs since her company installed them and kept them. She will not be heading into her work office for quite sometime now, and I was wondering if I could be directed towards a fix for this error. If not, is there a way I can copy the specific Photoshop CS2 registration key? That way I could download a iso and keygen for the program in order to install it, then just copy over my legal key? Could it be that because we deleted Photoshop CS, Photoshop CS2 does not work? Or could CS2 just be acting up for some strange reason?

Was the CS 2 an upgrade ? If so you do need the original CS disc to enable you to re install it.If you can get the original discs and try re loading this might help.

I too am thinking it is an upgrade, I would think once you upgraded they would allow you to remove CS if you do not use it anymore. The other problem is that if it does need CS then it will also need the registration info from the original CS since that was most likely deleted also.

Too bad I cannot just do a restore as you would be able to in Windows XP or Vista. Or does OS X have a similar feature built in?

Not yet but you'll be able to restore in Leopard (Our next OS.).
