Pags doc reformatted cant open

An important Pages file got weird- It shows on desktop with an icon of a doc with 2 arrows pointing out on the bottom of the icon. I can open it and scroll thru the pages but cannot copy the contents or change into a format that can open. what is this??

An important Pages file got weird- It shows on desktop with an icon of a doc with 2 arrows pointing out on the bottom of the icon. I can open it and scroll thru the pages but cannot copy the contents or change into a format that can open. what is this??

If you are able to open the document, in Pages, I assume, try doing a Save As… and save the copy to a different location. The file extension should be “.pages” and then try to open the new file with Pages.
