OSX quits unexpectedly

Hello Ric,
My iMac has been freezing on me unexpectedly and now I get a message that "the computer was restarted after Mac quit unexpectedly". This seems to happen when I try to log into a website, but it not consistent. Any ideas what can be happening? I didn't think Macs did this sort of thing...it's such a Windows kind of thing. ??

Try Fixing your permissions.

To do that go in to your applacations folder then into utilites

then there is a program called Disk Utility from there you can run primissions and it will fix any thing that might be wrong.

A lot of problems can be caused by bad primissions if you are having any problems in the future always start there. If that does not fix your problem then let me know and I will give you some more steps you can try..

I appreciate your help!
I fixed permissions and even ran the utility from the OSX disk, but it still happens. Do you have any other ideas what could be happening?
I noticed a simultaneous problem that occurs...
There are two websites I check regularly that now don't load completely.
I wonder if there's a connection. Thanks again,

Get a program called on onyX it is free

Run the utilites off of it. delete all the caches. when you restart it will take a while because it wil rebuild all the one you delete. That is the next line of defense
