OSX Mojave and Transcend Jet Drive

Last night I attempted to update my MacBook Pro (2015 Retina) which has a 128GB Transcend Jet Drive installed. My Mojave upgrade failed with a "com.apple.DiskManagement error 69854" error indicator. Restoring my OS from Time Machine was painful and time consuming. Before I try the upgrade again I thought I'd check the release notes, but apparently they are only for dev's not experienced users.

So has anyone had any experiences with Mojave and the Transcend Jet Drives?

Thanks In advance

That seems a strange issue, although when a new Mac OS is released, there are always some initial bugs.

Was the drive working finer with the prior OS you were using? And was that OS High Sierra?

How did you upgrade to Mojave? Did you do it "in place", ie, basically let Mojave overwrite what was on your machine already? What you might want to try instead is 1) let Disk Utility first check out your drive, and if everything is OK, have it Erase and Format your internal drive, and 2) do a fresh, clean installation of Mojave, and then "migrate"/copy needed "stuff" from your most recent (and with the prior OS) backup.

Additionally, did you insure that all your third-party (ie, non-Apple) applications are compatible with Mojave? This site can help you with that:

Finally, looks like this issue is also happening with other drives:

It was working fine before the upgrade, and it's working fine now, after I "fell back" to my Time Machine backup. Before I take another wack at the upgrade, due to the 5 hour restore this morning I thought it best to do some research. Of course Transcend was useless, they wanted a serial number from the Compact Flash card and it doesn't seem to be removable, so I though the Apple release notes might have something to say about compatible add on devices however those seem to be *privileged* so here I am. As far as upgrading from scratch, probably not going to happen unless I can confirm I'm not going to spend my weekend doing tach support..lol

Thanks for the insights
