OS Downgrade

Is it possible to downgrade from Monterey to Big Sur. If so, how do I go about it? My reason for wanting to do so is Brother does not supply a Monterey printer driver for my lazer printer.

Hello,

It can be a very involved and tedious process, which require completely erasing the drive and reinstalling with an external installer drive.
  • Which exact model Mac?
  • Do you have a current Time Machine or other backup of your data on an external drive?
  • Do you have a second external drive to be able to create an installer drive?
  • Which model is the Brother printer?
