Open Office has too dark choices

In writing a text document using Open Office and then electing to close it, a drop down menu appears asking if you want to SAVE, Discard or Cancel. My problem is that the dark blue coloring masks the written text. How to lighten or remove that coloring would suit me just fine. Thanks. Mac Air.

I’ll check my set up tomorrow. I use open office as well. Do you have some sort of OpenOffice theme installed or is it a standard install? What OS version are you running?

I tried to duplicate this on my 2020 Mac mini running Big Sur and realized you said "OpenOffice" and I have LibreOffice. My apologies.
