Open office software to use the sorts problem

I am begiiner How do I use the alphabet list? How do I put the words at the top of the screen. I tried to use rhe sorts icon but it didn't work. Can anybody help me please?

Are you trying to sort multiple columns at the same time? If so I think that is where your problem lies, try sorting the columns individually.

I figured it myself. I put 5 works in column without any blank column It works now
