SOLVED Numbers not connecting between Mac and iPhone

Hi guys. I wrote a spreadsheet in Numbers on my MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6 and tried to get it to be readable on my new iPhone 12 running 15.4.1 I have iCloud but I cannot find the spreadsheet on my iPhone. Any help please.

Hi,

Where did you save the Numbers file? To access it via iCloud on both your Mac and iPhone, save it to iCloud > Numbers. Then on your iPhone, you can uses the Files app to find/open it with the Numbers app.

At the title line, with the down arrow, I had clicked that and iCloud Drive but also lower down I had placed the file into something only on the Mac. When I took the file out of that and only clicked iCloud Drive, the file showed up where it was supposed to be on the iPhone ,ie in iCloud Drive and in Numbers. Oops. I will file as solved , thanks for making me look more thoroughly at what I had done.
