I'm running a Macmini M1 with a 500gig drive and 16 gigs of ram. Lately, after running Etrecheck and the App tamer app they both report that NRDupdate services are using an inordinate amount of resources! What is this and do I need to be concerned about?

Hello,

I have an M1 mini as well, running macOS 12.1 Monterey, and I don't have that process running at all. It may be a system update process that may be stuck, or it has to do with some third-party software that is installed on your Mac.
  • Did you recently update macOS?
  • Are you still having the issue?
  • Does a restart help?

Hello Cory, thanks for the reply, I'm updated to macOS 12.1 as well. I downloaded App Tamer and that was the only reason I noticed it.
It seems to have sorted itself out and does not show up in App Tamer anymore.
