New Mac user

Well, after 30+ years using PCs I finally saw the light and made the switch. In the past I've built my own PC, installed every operating system from DOS 3 and Windows 3.1 on, including a brief foray into multi-booting DOS, Windows and Linux.

When I decided it was time for a new computer my nephew suggested taking look at Macs. I was hooked. Brought home a beautiful iMac Retina 5K 27-inch running 10.11.3 "El Capitan" (gotta love the Mac OS names!

Of course I've made a number of mistakes and was bailed out by the helpful Mac tech support.

Hope to get help for non-pressing things here.

Current interests include vintage/classic hi-fi and travel.

Looking forward to getting some help here.

That is quite a first Mac! That screen is to die for!
