music won't play in stereo

Some of my songs in iTunes have stopped playing in stereo. When I play them, I only hear certain tracks, while others are missing. This happens whether I am using my MacBook Air's built-in speakers, or plugged into external speakers.


These songs used to be normal. I did not adjust any settings.


What's going on?

Sorry, what do you mean? hear certain tracks? Stereo only has 2 tracks, left and right. Is one speaker not working?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I'm not an expert on audio so I'm not sure what the proper terminology is.
The song I'm listening to is "Day Tripper" by the Beatles.
The guitar, bass, and drums are loud and clear, but the vocals are very quiet. Maybe one is "left" and the other is "right". Neither speaker is broken. Sound is coming out of both sides.
Also, when I connect my computer to external speakers, which are not broken, I have the same problem. The vocals are extremely soft.
Again, I did not change any settings.

Hi,

I would double check your sound output levels in system preference just in case.

The only thing that could effect that would be EQ.

iTunes > Windows > Equalizer
