Hello all,

I recently replaced my dying hd (2010 MBP) with a new ssd and did a clean install of El Capitan. Rather than restoring from my time machine or super duper! back ups, I have been hand picking, dragging and dropping files and apps from my super duper! clone to my new ssd. There is one file that I can't figure out where to put to get ms office working (com.microsoft.office.licensing.helper), as I can't see the privileged helper tools folder in the library of my new ssd. Will disabling sip allow me to see this folder so I can transfer the file? Will doing this and then reenabling sip cause problems? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of Microsoft Office?
-Do you have the Microsoft Office installer disc?

I don't suggest disabling SIP. I am not sure that you can simply copy the licensing file and have Office recognize it and work properly. It is always best to do an actual install of apps on a new system, so that you don't miss any require files/folders, or run into permissions issues by doing a manual transfer of a previous install.
