I recently moved my itunes media folder to an external drive. I want to remove the music files from my original computer but when I do that in itunes the cover art is removed as well.
How do i remove the music files that are filling up my computer but still keep the cover art.
Thanks Mike

As long as you followed the steps outlined here (click external drive) you should be good to go. You might need to click 'Transferring Purchases" if applicable.

Just drag the entire iTunes folder from Music on your Mac to the external drive and start up iTunes holding the Option key and select "Choose Library". Navigate to your new library location and click ok. Once you're satisfied that all is in order it's safe to remove the iTunes folder from your Mac.

I have all my music & photos on an external drive.
