Minimising Windows

I have developed an odd problem on by ibook G4 using OS X 4.6. This concerns the three buttons on the top left side of the screen. Firstly, these buttons have lost their colours and it is impossible to use the middle button to move the screen to the Dock. The only thing I have done recently that might have caused this to occur has been to download a OSX software update the other day. The whole OS seems to have slowed down at the same time.

Has anyone come across this problem and is there a solution which I could try.

Hi there and welcome !

Are you using ShapeShifter or anything similar ?

If not then, restart your Mac, then run Disk Utility Repair Disk and Repair Permissions.

If still no good then download the "Combo" update from here...

Once the combo update has run,let us no how it is...if it's not fixed we can try something else.
