May well be an ISP issue (BT Internet), but I'd welcome advice on possible settings problems.
Anything up to 10 times a day Mail produces the error message that "the connection timed out". How an 'always on' brodband connection could time out is a mystery. I have to quit Mail and reopen it, then often re-enter account passwords (two of). From time to time I find that in Mail preferences the passwords have disappeared, and I have to enter them all over again.
Curiously, this does not happen every day, not the same number of times each day. And my wife experiences no such problem with her iBook G4 upstairs, on the same Airport connection to broadband router....
