My macintosh became extremely slow, so I uninstalled its main partition. I thought I could use recovery to get access to it, but instead I cannot boot into either recovery or into boot options. Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

Hello and welcome.

-Which exact model is the Mac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS was it running?

You may be able to use Internet Recovery (Command+Option+R instead of Option-R) if the Recovery Partition isn't functioning:

Thank you for the response. I ended up bringing in the Mac to an apple store for repairs. Recovery did not work, but apparently there is a type of USB device which can do the installation.
