I have an older Macbook (5 yrs) and it has started to say that the disc is full. It already deleted a bunch of photos on its own and I went through and took off almost EVERYTHING but I get the same message. Is there any way to get it back to a working state?

There are some 3rd party apps to weed out space-hogs, like Disc Inverntory or WhatSize ... or you could enable the showing of hidden files, i once found a 5 GB iMovie project which was invisible and was sitting on my desktop ... it was an old project and I was happy to reclaim the space, I can say!

Read about Hidden Files here.

Make sure you reverse the command when you are finished. If the command doesn't work you could try changing the YES/NO to True/False.

(Note that the code window has a horizontal scroll-bar)
