Hello,

Using the mail APP that came with the iMac.
Think it is actually called "Mail"

Work fine,
But something has changed.

Re that column on the left that has the small blue dots that signify a new unread eMail.

They are supposed to disappear when the eMail has actually opened up.

Always used to for me, but something must have changed.

How do I make these blue marker dots disappear, again, once
I click on an email to read it ?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi

Don't believe Outlook is involved in any way.

Just using the mail app that came with th Mac, MAIL, via Comcast.

Thanks for help.
Sure is "funny".

Hi,

Does this happen on all devices, or just the iMac?
iF on iPad and iPhone then possibly it is a comcast issue re flagged and marked as unread mail.

You could possibly try this.
First you need to select edit from the top of the preview window, then tap on mark all at the bottom. Once done select mark as read, then tap edit again , and mark all, then select un flag.

i'm not an expert by any means, but, have you tried horizontal scrolling the mail window to see if it maybe was simply shifted off the visable area? Hope this helps...
