So I finally upgraded from High Sierra because I was struggling to get a few programs working, but when I went to install I couldn't format my full drive so I partitioned my drive now I have two 60gb drives and I can't seem to figure out how to extend the disk.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

Using Disk Utility, you should have clicked where it says Apple SSD and erased that. That would have given you a single partition/container.

Maybe there will be something in this that will help:
Disk Utility User Guide for macOS Big Sur

Do you have a backup of the data on the Mac?

Hi Corey I spent a good while on this and I couldn't get anything to work there was no option to remove the old High Sierra partition so I just created a bootable usb of my Big Sur install app. Thank you for the help though. Have a great year!
