Mac Airbook and Epson 212 Printer problem

I have a Mac Airbook and an Epson XP 212 printer. I have connected the printer via USB and the Airbook recognises it and has a 9 or 24 pin Epson driver available - I've tried both. When I try to print, it connects to the printer with all the correct prompt screens and the printer responds by pulling the correct number of blank pages through. Only problem is they stay blank and nothing is printed on them. I have a Windows 10 laptop and everything works properly with that but I hate Windows and need to print with my Mac.
Can anyone help please?

First, what exact Mac OS are you using?

Secondly, what exact Mac Book Air model do you have?

Third, the Mac OS "normally" has built-in Printer Drivers for most models of printers. This link shows such information for the last 5 versions of the Mac OS:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201465

Your printer is on that list.

But, you can also download and install such drivers from Epson's site:

https://www.epson.co.uk/support?productID=12298&os=34#drivers_and_manuals

In the small box entitled "Have we recognized your operating system correctly", click on the down arrow to select the Mac OS you have.

Hi,
Many thanks for your post. The OS is High Sierra (10 . 13 ) and the model is A 1466. The driver is on the list of Printer Drivers on the Airbook and that's what I've used with the results I mentioned in my post. Unfortunately, when I try to download the driver from the Epson site I get a message which says Safari can't reach the site and gives an error message saying "unknown error". Once again, I can access the site and relevant page on my Windows 10 laptop but of course that's not much help. any ideas?

Thank you for your help,

Richard21beer.

For some reason, Epson's USA site does not have any information about the XP-212. The closest model they have drivers for is the XP-200.

Maybe try using another browser, instead of Safari, to navigate to the link I provided.
