Mac Air won't boot...

My Mac Air just gets the little revolving wheel when I try to start up but instead of going on to boot it spins for ages then switches off. I suspect a clash with software for Verbatim drive recently loaded but does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, Startup issues on an Air are very difficult to debug without and external bootable drive, I'd recommend taking it to an Apple Service Centre near you.

Indeed. Tried everything I can find on the net and am now at Genius Bar, Newcastle!
