Lost old iPod

I own an old IPod, maybe 15 years old. But it is in another country, I haven't seen it for some years and I don't know if it still works. My question is, if I buy a new iPod, will I be able to access the music on that old iPod to upload to the new one? What would I need to make that possible eg old passwords, etc. Any information greatly appreciated. Regards, Michael.

No, I think it predated all of that, and I am not the most technological person.
Or perhaps that was possible 10+ years ago and I just wasn't aware of it.

I don't think it will be possible to get the content without access to the old device.
