won't stay on page/site I click on, keeps rerouting to "DNS Solution Yahoo Canada"
I've removed Yahoo search engine in preferences, still happening... even when I type in site address
anybody know what's up with this?

I keep clicking the back button, sometimes it stays on page though tab starts out with "Page Not Found"

What exact Mac model are you using?
What OS version?
Which browser does this happen with? If it is, for example, Safari, did you try another browser, like Firefox or Google Chrome?

MacBook Pro (17-inch, Mid 2009)

Firefox (virus infected my Safari, haven't managed to fix that yet)

Which version of Firefox? Version 38.0.5 came out a couple of days ago.

By the way, I recently had a virus that affected my Mac Book Air, "through" Chrome (did not have the issue on my Mac Mini, and I run the same software). Hopefully, you have been making backups. On my Air, I eventually had to Erase, Format, and Partition the SSD, did a fresh installation of Yosemite (along with the 2 OS 10.10.3 updates, updated Safari, and then used Migration Assistant to migrate all my apps, file, folders, etc. from my most recent SuperDuper! backup of my Mac Mini. It worked like a charm!
