Keyboard playing up (please help)

My keyboard has recently started playing up. I have no idea why. Sometimes, in the middle of typing, it highlights itself and then deletes EVERYTHING of what i've written, or types out of sequence.

I have a white 13" mac.
It's not me touching the trackpad, I make sure i'm not.


Does anyone know what's up? It's so infuriating, and I need to start writing my personal statements for uni applications and it really does make life hard

Not sure exactly what's going on there ... be sure to press Command S often so your work is saved .... is this a desktop mac? The magic trackpad? Haven't used one yet if that's what you are using ...
