I am trying to stop storing anything on iCloud. I synced all contacts between Mojave desktop and iphone. What I have now is 2 different sets of contacts. iCloud, my apple id, and All Contacts. How can I retain all the contacts and groups (which came originally from iMac with apple id) and get rid of the iCloud label before I remove icloud from the imac?

Hello,

How did you sync the contacts between the Mojave Mac and your iPhone - via iCloud, or manually with the iPhone attached via a cable?

The best way to make sure to keep the contacts on the Mac, would be to create the same groups in the On My Mac section in the Contacts application, then drag and drop the contacts from the iCloud group into the newly created one.

You can also export all of the contacts from the iCloud section as a file, then import it into the On My Mac section.
