SOLVED Just upgraded to Ventura, Photos no longer shows my iPhone.?

I am at the point I want to punch someone at apple.

the constant changing of features and dropping things is driving me to the desperation point.

I just upgraded from Monterey to Ventura.

now my Photos app does not show my iPhone, no devices etc., so I can import my photos.

and don't strat me on changes to my printers dialog boxes...

any one know how to import photos off an iPhone 8 to my iMac M1 now...?

I am really really regretting upgrading...

update. my iMac M1 Ventura Photos, now see my iPhone, but tells me there are no photos on it... (It is full of photos)

I am at my wits end. with these dam faulty upgrade problems.

if I could switch back to Monterey, I would do it in a heart beat..

and from now on, apple and cloud can go @#$%^&*( themselves.

well suprise.. myiMac M1 photos app finaly not only shows myiPhone, but also shows the many photos i have AND allows me to import...
wonder why it to many goes for this to happen.
anyway. solved, though I still dont know why, or wethere it willhappen again, but for now, on problems solved.
