iTunes will not start up!

I have a G5 Intel iMac running 10.5.1. Starting two days ago, my iTunes will not boot up. I click on the icon and it begins to boot up, but then it crashes and i get a message saying it quit unexpectedly, and asks if i want to relaunch, report, or ignore. I tried to recreate my library but that didnt work. Anyone have any idea on what I should do?
