iTunes regrets....

I updated my iTunes to 7 and am really really wanting to go back to 6.0.5 ?? I guess was the last release pre 7.
And I trashed iTunes and downloaded the 6.0.5 installer and that didn't work -
I still have iTunes 7... how do I go back?
Does anyone else find iTunes 7 annoying and crazy slow?!?!

What Mac do you have? I love iTunes 7!!! It runs smooth on my MacBook Pro and my PowerBook G4. I know some windows users are having a little difficulty with it. As for as reverting, you may have had a corrupt installer. Try this one from this site:

Oh, after you installed iTunes 7, did you try repairing disk permissions? That may help out a little. Go to Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility --> click repair permissions. Then restart your computer.
