iTunes Dock Notification causes Desktop Picture glitch ...

I have Mac OS X 10.4.7 and recently noticed that whenever a new song played in iTunes my Desktop picture would momentarily switch to a plain coloured background then switch back again. I thought it weird and tried a few experiments but couldn't figure out what could be causing this glitch .... I thought I'd be the only one on the planet seeing this and you can imagine my surprise when on the off chance I thought I'd google it and try my luck ....and found this thread:

Apparently it was because I'd enabled iTunes Dock notifications as per this... and I fixed the glitch by reversing the process in Terminal using this:

defaults write com.apple.dock itunes-notifications -bool NO

Follow this by killall Dock

Very strange, indeedy !!
