Hey all,
I am an IT guy at a casino and the advertising dept uses 5 Mac pro's and 1 Imac. I am a windows guy but would love to learn the Mac OS and I was wondering if there are any sites that would help me. I am trying right now to configure a drop box on one. I just wish there was a XP to Mac encyclopedia. I appreciate any help, Thanks.

Thanks, I will check out the sites tonight. I have a mac G4, running leopard I think, at my desk running leopard it is tough to get on it when we are supporting over 2500 employees who use XP and 70 servers, I also take care of the cisco switches. I am the only one with the ambition to learn a new OS so I can help out marketing. I got the drop box working don't ask me how. I wouldn't mind getting a Mac for home but I am a gamer and it would collect dust and I can't justify the $1200 minimum for a Mac, ecspecially when I could do one hell of an upgrade on my PC for that. Thanks again.

The $1200 would be because I would get a Macbook not an IMac. Just wanted to clarify that. LOL. Thanks again Walrus.

If money is an issue you could check out Ebay. I recently bought two eMacs for approximately two hundred and fifty bucks apiece. There were cheaper ones as well but they were older models. I recommend the 1.25 GHz model eMac and up or at the very minimum a 1.00 GHz model eMac.
You could play games on the Mac as well. In fact, the things that you can do on a Mac seem endless! I've been using a Mac for approximately four years and merely just scratched the surface. :)
