Issues with dragging pictures to save them

Hello all, I have a Mcbook air of 1 year and since last week I am facing an issue when trying to drag a picture from my browser and then drop in in a folder to save it. The picture follows over when I release the mouse the picture doesn't get saved. Is it an option I have to enable? I have tried on safari, firefox and chrome but none of the 3 work :/.

I have a Macbook retina at the office I do not have any issues with it.

Try a Restart.

Also some images just don't drag out of web pages, the content creator has disable drag and drop.

Kaveman, thank you for the tip. but i tried couple of time and it didn't help.
Regarding the disabling of the drag and drop, it works fine on with my other laptop and with the same image

Are you able to right click image and save to downloads from the drop down menu?
