Quark 8 on Sierra - Install Issues

Hi there, I have recently upgraded to Sierra on my iMac. I have just tried to install Quark 8 on my machine but just before the end of the process it says it can't install due to OS compatibility. Has anyone managed to install Quark 8 on Sierra or is it impossible? I know Quark no longer supports version 8 but wanted some feedback. Many thanks

Hello and welcome.

Because QuarkXPress 8 is 10+ years old, and released for PowerPC/Intel Macs and Mac OS X 10.4.6-10.6.x and later, I highly doubt that it would be compatible. You are probably getting those installation errors because your Mac model and Sierra aren't recognized because they are too new for the installer.

You can upgrade to the latest QuarkXPress 2018 on their website from version 8 for $399 USD.
