iPod Classic keeps freezing up

I'm constantly having to reset my iPod, and it usually takes ten or more attempts to get it to work. Is this normal?

Have you restored the iPod and then re-updated? if so maybe it needs a service.

OK, thanks. That's an iPod classic (Late 2009) 160GB Black, correct?

Unfortunately if it keeps freezing, usually that is a sign of a failing hard drive.

-Do you have all your content backed up on your computer?
-Has it continually gotten worse?
-Have you tried restoring it and syncing your data back to it?
