SOLVED iOS maps, voices

I have been using the Direction (navigation) feature on i-phone for some years, latterly on an i-Phone XR. I have 13.2 software, fully up-dated.

I am sure that in previous software versions I had options for choosing the voice working through Carplay (male/female, national accents [English, Australian, etc]).

Now I have only one & she sounds Indian though in different parts of England I seem to remember that the accent varies. This last bit I am not sure about because I've been driving only locally in the recent few weeks.

The iOS13 book makes no reference to this. Am I missing something?

Hello,

I believe the voice used in Maps navigation is the same as that chosen for Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice. Check that setting and see if that resolves the issue.
